How Are You Disposing Sharps At Home?

Feeling much better since my last post. Now, let's discuss sharp disposal. We have many diabetics in our world today, so my question is what are people doing to dispose their sharps, needles, etc. at home? Hopefully, everyone is disposing them the proper way in a puncture resistant container, but just in case, it has to be discussed. So many people are being seen in the Emergency Rooms with needle sticks caused from garbage pick ups, etc. I want to be sure the word gets around for everyone to think about protecting our environment includes proper needle disposal to protect those that we probably take for granite because they get our garbage to proper waste stations. Needle sticks are very costly and are  known to expose a person to HIV, Hepatitis, MRSA and many other bloodborne pathogen diseases. So please, look at the way you or a family member is disposing sharps and make sure it is safe for everyone. Please visit www.medicalhelpnurse.com for more information on disposing your needles.
